In 2016, I was commissioned to make a series of video loops for Electric Objects as part of their Art Club series. Electric Objects was a company that manufactured and sold custom framed screens with the stated goal of "bringing digital art into the home". The screens were bundled with famous art works from museums and galleries around the world, as well as works made by Artists for the Art Club.
My goal was to create interesting motion that was visually interesting, but not too jarring. My first series was inspired by the tranquil movement of water, specifically its ability to draw attention for long periods of time resulting in quiet contemplation. I challenged myself to translate those qualities into something digital, which resulted in Uncanny Oceans.
In 2017 I was asked to create a follow-up series, which resulted in a spiritual sequal: WYSIWYG
